National Institute of Behavioural Sciences is a voluntary organization (NGO), registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961 since 1989. We are involved in health related activities pertaining to psychological as well as physical.
NIBS has been running outdoor patient clinics for the treatment of mentally sick patients and the drug dependents, at 7 & 8 CIT Road, Kolkata - 700014 (near Moulali). The clinic provides services six days a week. A team of competent psychiatrists, psychologists, general physicians, neurologists, special educator, dietician and social workers run the outdoor clinic. Besides, NIBS also carries on regular rural mental health camps in Rangabelia, a remote and marooned locality in Sunderbans Delta of West Bengal, India.
Recent achievement of NIBS is developing Documentary Films to boast mental awareness programs. All the five such films were shown in Kolkata International Film Festival 2010. One such film "Vorai" bagged four International Awards.
